The herpes virus is a viral disease that attacks the skin and mucous membranes
It stays in a lymph node and causes frequent relapses
Symptoms are a painful and burning rash, fever, and severe fatigue
There are two types of herpes simplex, cold sore and type 2 genital herpes
If there is no treatment to cure this disease, its symptoms can be alleviated

What is herpes?

Better known as the cold sore, The Herpes Simplex Virus is a viral disease that attacks the skin and mucous membranes.

Once contracted, it remains lodged in the lymph nodes for life and manifests itself in recurrent crises often related to fatigue, stress, heat, or sun exposure.

Thus, the first herpetic infection remains a major problem.

Type 1 Herpes, Herpes Simplex, HSV1

The HSV1 virus, also known as herpes simplex or “cold sore” mainly attacks the oro-facial sphere, which includes the lips at a minimum but can also spread to the tongue, cheeks, gums, throat, nostrils, and eyes.

However, it can affect all parts of the body.

Type 2 Herpes simplex, HSV2

The so-called herpes type 2 virus is genital herpes which includes vaginal herpes, vulvar herpes, and anal herpes, a sexually transmitted disease.

Like the Hsv1, it can also attack all parts of the body.

How long does it take for herpes to show up?

The first herpetic outbreak is often the most intense.

After an incubation period of 2 to 6 days, it is declared by the presence of blisters triggering tingling, feeling of heat, burns, and pain, often with fever, headache, and intense fatigue.

But it should be noted that in 20% of cases it’s asymptomatic herpes, which is why the spread of this virus is so important.

The crisis can last up to three weeks before returning to a dormant period.

The virus goes up the nerves and takes refuge in a lymph node to reactivate only if it weakens.

Where does herpes come from?

Although contagious and very close, the two viruses do not necessarily have the same consequences.

The first infection with labial herpes, the hsv1 virus, often takes place during childhood by going unnoticed.

It can sometimes be more severe by triggering oral herpes, and herpetic gingivostomatitis, resulting in swollen gums, very large and painful sores, and a high fever for about ten days.

Labial herpes is contagious from the first warning signs until the appearance of the crusts. Local treatment needs to be initiated very quickly.

The first infection of genital herpes occurs during sexual intercourse of any type.

Transmission is done sneakily by a partner who may not know he or she has this viral disease.

Once contracted, the virus remains in the body for life at a latent stage before the next herpes outbreak.

Genital herpes results in a rash of blisters, a kind of small blisters forming in a bouquet on the skin and/or genital or mucous membranes.

Their rupture leads to ulcerations of the skin or mucous membranes that heal spontaneously in about ten days.

Severe cases can lead to troublesome edema or even preventing urination with inguinal adenopathies, and swelling of the ganglia of the groin folds.

Genital herpes is an STI, a sexually transmitted infection, and remains contagious even when the carrier shows no apparent signs.

Curing herpes forever?

There is currently no treatment to eradicate the herpes virus.

Conventional medicine offers oral antiviral substances such as aciclovir or valacyclovir that limit the outbreak intensity and duration.

Long-term intake (9 months to 1 year) is sometimes suggested if recurrences exceed 6 per year or if the sexual partner is at risk of significant complications from immunodepression.

Home remedies for herpes

Again, there are no natural remedies for herpes to permanently eradicate the virus but only to relieve recurrences and shorten the duration of the painful crisis.

Lemon balm herpes

In local application, lemon balm tincture (#ad) showed encouraging results in the treatment of lesions.

You can dilute a drop of essential oil in a vegetable oil of your choice or directly with a tincture and apply it with a cotton swab.

When to take propolis?

Propolis is a resin that bees make to build their hives. It is rich in flavonoids.

One study showed that a propolis cream (#ad) was more effective than an aciclovir-based ointment in speeding up the healing of genital herpes lesions.

Apple cider vinegar for herpes treatment

Cider vinegar has antibacterial and astringent properties that help speed healing. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that will help reduce pain and burning sensation.

With a cotton swab, apply pure cider vinegar directly to the lesions two or three times a day.
In case of severe damage, it is best to dilute the cider vinegar before it is applied.

Aloe Vera gel for herpes

Aloe Vera (#ad) is a natural antiseptic with multiple virtues. Its antibacterial properties accelerate the healing of lesions.

Saffron is a spice with antiseptic virtues widely used in Ayurvedic medicine.

This unexpected combination of aloes and saffron is a safe and surprisingly effective treatment.

Which essential oil for cold sores?

If you want to significantly reduce the pain and burning sensation caused by the lesions, apply pure tea tree and ravintsara essential oils directly.

Baking soda for herpes

Baking soda has anti-inflammatory properties and thus helps relieve pain and burns.

Two teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate in a glass of lukewarm water allow you a local application or mouthwash.

Best supplements for herpes

Vitamin C versus herpes

Numerous studies show the protective role of ascorbic acid in infectious states.

Used in herpes and shingles treatment, vitamin C showed rapid action by stopping flare-ups within a few days.

So there is nothing better than vitamin C to boost the immune system and reduce symptoms.

Liposomal vitamin C (#ad)

Zinc for herpes

Zinc is involved in many cellular processes and is involved in countless biological reactions.

With a powerful antioxidant activity, it effectively protects against toxic free radicals.

Thus a zinc deficiency (#ad) severely impacts the immune system.

It should be noted that zinc significantly accelerates healing.

The benefits of B vitamins

Most B vitamins are involved in energy production.

Vitamins B9 and B12 play a crucial role in the production of red blood cells, cell regeneration and central nervous system support.

One of the major causes of recurrence is certain times of stress.
B vitamins are real support for balancing the nervous system and spacing recurrences.

Vitamin B Complex (#ad)

Fever button and vitamin E

Vitamin E is crucial in the prevention of many diseases.

It participates in many cellular processes and has an exceptional antioxidant activity.

Already known for its preventive action in cardiovascular diseases due to its anti-inflammatory, antiplatelet, and vasodilator properties, it also protects the immune system and reduces inflammation.

Vitamin E, which lasts about ten minutes in a topic application, has been soothing for some.

But this should be used as natural vitamin E (#ad) made up of a mixture of tocopherols and not the synthetic vitamin E found in drugstores that contains just alpha-tocopherol.

Vitamin D3 (calciferol)

In the US, it is often advisable to ask for a blood test for vitamin D when suffering from herpes, seeing it as a cause-and-effect link.

Vitamin D is antiviral and stimulates the immune system.
In case of deficiency, it is recommended to supplement yourself with vitamin D3 cholecalciferol (#ad).

Herpesyl

This supplement is a combination of 26 carefully mixed plant extracts and vitamins into an easy-to-swallow capsule you only have to take once a day.

Graviola Leaf is extremely rich in antioxidants, Shitake, a powerful mushroom that nourishes your brain cells and strengthens your immune system, Burdock, an amazing root, extremely high on nutrients, Red Raspberry, Turmeric, Grape Seed, Quercetin Seeds, Pomegranate…

Herpesyl is a new way to treat herpes outbreaks.

Herpes and homeopathy

It is also possible to try to shorten a recurrence of labial herpes by taking vaccineotoxinum 9CH very early and in a single dose.

For oral herpes, a protocol is given:

Sulfur 9CH during warning signs
Vaccinotoxinum 9CH one hour later
Rhus Toxicodendron 15CH two hours later

If, despite this protocol, the development of the outbreak is not contained, add a dose of Vaccinotoxinum 9CH three times a day.

To avoid recurrence, it is also advisable to take a dose of Vaccinotoxinum 9CH twice a month in preventive treatment.

  1. Hi. I Have had herpes for over 6 years with frequent outbreaks. Sometimes I average 2-3 times per month. Before one breakout could end, the next would begin. Nothing has helped me. I came online in search for a possible way to see how I can fight this virus.
